SOME GENERAL RULES FOR ALL DIVISIONS
Managers, coaches, parents, and players will represent themselves in a manner
that is consistent with the League's policies regarding behavior and SPORTSMANSHIP.
Managers are responsible for the actions of their teams, coaches, parents, players and fans. Arguments between umpires, managers, coaches, players, or parents are FORBIDDEN. Judgment calls, i.e., ball, strike, out or safe are not to be questioned.
Only a manager may discuss or question an umpires decision. Any incidents which
are not within these guidelines should be reported
immediately to the Division Commissioners.
Home team provides the plate umpire, visitors the base umpire. Home team provides
the game ball, and prepares the field for play. Weather related cancellations
are determined by the home team manager who is to notify his commissioner as
soon as possible. In the senior division once an A.S.A. umpire is on the scene
it is his/her decision to make reference worsening weather conditions. The home team's book is official.
Both teams should bring all their equipment to the game in case their opponent
forgets or has damaged equipment. Then you may share. and the game will be played.
No jewelry should be worn during games or practice. Batting helmets are to
be worn by all offensive players in live territory. This rule also applies to player base coaches.
Any player warming up a pitcher must wear a face and throat protector at all times.
Due to the large number of teams, every attempt must be made to play games
on the scheduled date. If for any a reason other than weather, a field, especially
a county field, is not going to be used advise your commissioner as far ahead
of time as possible. FAILURE OF THE LEAGUE TO USE ASSIGNED COUNTY FIELDS WITHOUT
NOTIFYING THE COUNTY CAN JEOPARDIZE OUR USAGE IN THE FUTURE.
ANY SCHOOL ACTIVITY TAKING PLACE ON A SCHOOL DISTRICT FIELD HAS FIRST PRIORITY
OVER TALLEYVILLE GIRLS SOFTBALL.
